What is global warming?
Global Warming is the increase of Earth's average surface temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, some of these gases are carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap heat that would otherwise escape from Earth. This is a type of greenhouse effect.
Global Warming Impacts
Rising seas: seas are rising to a point where small islands are having to be evacuated and the islands are being destroyed.
changes in rainfall pattern: more draughts are occurring in some places and floods in others.
ice caps melting: ice caps melting, losing habitat in the poles, polar bears are thought to be becoming extinct.

How can we lower our energy use and help global warming?
there are a lot of things we can do do help stop global warming, we can recycle things that we use everyday, we can use less heating and air conditioning, we can replace lightbulbs with the earth friendly ones, plant some trees, turn everything off when we are finished with them and encourage others to do the same.
all of these things will help reduce global warming and make our world a better place for coming generations.
